Swopping Rain Forests for Crops & Pastureland

A study has shown that (in addition to the negative impact on the environment), replacing forests with crops and pastureland is also not economically sustainable and does not benefit local people over the long run (but I suppose that goes without saying!). Read more, here in this BBC News Article.
