Van Schalkwyk to be new UN Climate Chief?

This Engineering News article informs us that: "The South African government has put forward the name of Tourism Minister Marthinus van Schalkwyk to the United Nations (UN) to potentially lead the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)."
